Description
A box of miscellaneous material relating to theatrical, operatic and musical performances given in Munich between 1936 and 1958, held loosely as the 18th box of the Cyril Eland collection.
This box includes leaflets and prospectuses for the Munchner Festspiele (presented by the Bayerische Staatsoper between 1954-56 and in 1958), programe books from the Bayerische Staatstheater (1936/7), and two concert programmes.
14 August 1936, Odeon Munchen: Konzert des gesamten bayer. Staatsorchesters, directed by Richard Strauss (handbill).
18 June 1954, Herkules-Saal der Residenz: VI Konzert im Abonnement, presented by Musica Viva and given by the Symphonie-Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks with Ludwig Hoelscher (cello), directed by Nino Sanzogno (with words and notes).
