Description
A collection of programmes and wordbooks for the Concerts of Ancient Music, given during the seasons 1786, 1789, 1791, 1798 and 1800-48 (missing 1811), held as a series of bound volumes (one per season).
Few of these programmes cite the performance venue, although it is known from other sources that the concerts took place initially at the New Rooms, Tottenham Street before moving to the Great Room of the King's Theatre (from 1795) and the New Rooms, Hanover Square (from 1804).
All workbooks provide the names of the vocal soloists.
