Description
A collection of programmes and wordbooks for the Concerts of Ancient Music given during the seasons 1783, 1785-89 and 1791-1848, held as a series of bound volumes (one per season).
Few of these programmes cite a performance venue, although it is known from other sources that the concerts took place initially at the New Rooms, Tottenham Street and then at the Concert Room of the King's Theatre (from 1795) and the New Rooms, Hanover Square (from 1804).
The workbooks consistetly cite the names of the vocal soloists.
