Description A miscellaneous collection of programme books for performances given at various English venues between 1930 and 2004, held loosely as the eighteenth box of the Carl Newton collection. Also included is a prospectus with programmes for the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien (1985).

Unless otherwise stated below, all these documents include programme notes, biographical notes (typically with photographs) and, where appropriate, lists of the orchestral ensemble.

Programmes are listed here by location, with London venues followed by provincial ones.

8 March 1993: Edward Elgar concert given by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Charles Mackerras.
18-20 November 1999: Divinity, Ecstasy and Revelation, Scriabin, featuring the Russian National Orchestra, conducted by Mikhail Pletnev (single document including notes).

7 December 1930: Special Sunday Concert given by Yehudi Menuhin (violin).
12 May 1946: Harold Holt Sunday Concert given by the London Symphony Orchestra with Moura Lympany (piano), conducted by Albert Coates (single sheet, with notes)
30 June 1946: Harold Holt Sunday Concert given by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Antal Dorati (with notes).

30 November 1951: Hamburg Radio Symphony Orchestra with Denis Matthews (piano), conducted by Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt.
5 May 1966: May Day Concert presented by the Musicians' Union and the Labour Party and given by the London Philharmonic Orchestra with John Ogdon (piano), conducted by John Pritchard.
21 June 1979: London Symphony Orchestra with David Geringas (cello), conducted by Klaus Tennstedt.
8 and 11 March 1982: Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Eugen Jochum.
21 May 1983: Academy of St. Martin-in-the-Fields with Jack Brymer (clarinet), directed by Iona Brown.
18 October 1987: Elgar, The Kingdom given by the London Philharmonic Orchestra with Yvonne Kenny, Alfreda Hodgson, Robert Tear and Benjamin Luxon (vocal), conducted by Leonard Slatkin.
28 March 1994: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with Cho-Liang Lin (violin), conducted by Vernon Handley.
16 January 2004: London Philharmonic Orchestra with Alessio Bax (piano), conducted by Marin Alsop (with notes, biographical notes, photographs and a list of the orchestral ensemble).
