Description
A collection of programmes with words for performances given by the Birmingham Sunday School Union Choral Society on 3 December 1883 and 25 May 1886 at the Town Hall, Birmingham.
These were two-part concerts, combining an extended choral work (part I, see below) and a miscellaneous act (part II), given with Mr J. Stimpson (organ) and conducted by Alfred R. Gaul.
Both programmes include a list of the orchestral ensemble. The vocal soloists are listed below.
3 December 1883: Gaul, The Holy City, with Miss A. Williford, Miss Jeanie Rosse, Mr Boulcott Newth and Mr T. Horrex, accompanied by Mr Walter Wale.
25 May 1886: A. Randegger, Fridolin, with Mrs Mason, Mr C. Banks, Mr R. Grice and Mr T. Horrex.
