Description A collection of programmes for concerts given by various musical institutions in Berlin between 1878 and 1913, arranged within a bound volume.

13 December 1902, Oberlichtsaal der Philharmonie: German songs and French chansons from the 16th Century, given by Dr. H. Goldschmidt's Madrigalvereinigung, directed by Dr Hugo Leichtentritt (programme and wordbook, with a detailed list of the singers and brief programme notes).

19 December 1903, 20 October and 27 December 1904, 7 April 1905, 7 December 1911, 3 December 1912 and 21 February 1913, Saal der Sing-Akademie: programmes of sixteenth-century European vocal repertory, given by the Barthischen Madrigal-Vereinigung, directed by Arthur Barth (programmes and wordbooks, each with a list of the male and female singers).

1878–79, [various venues]: programmes for 4 performances [Aufführung] and 14 presentation evenings [Vortrags-Abend] given by the Hochschule für Musik der Berlin, under the auspices of the Königliche Akademie der Künste, the former, unless otherwise stated, in the Saal der Sing-Akademie under the direction of Dr Joseph Joachim.

a) Performances
30 October 1878: Mendelssohn, Elijah, with Emma Faller, Auguste Hohenschild, Hermann von der Meden and Georg Henschel (handbill).
30 November 1878: two-act orchestral concert including symphonies by Haydn and Beethoven, and the Schumann piano concerto (Friederich Grabau, piano) (handbill).
5 February 1879, Garnison-Kirche, Neue Friedrichstrasse: Organ and vocal music by Buxtehude, J.S. Bach and Handel, given by Herr Franz (organ), Hermann von der Meden (tenor), Hr. Gillmeister (bass) and Frau Amalie Joachim (alto) (programme and wordbook).
28 March 1879: Mozart symphony/Cherubini, Requiem, directed by Ernst Rudorff (programme and wordbook).

b) Presentation evenings
6 and 20 November 1878, and 4 and 18 December 1878, 22 January, 12 and 26 February, 9 March, 2 April 1879, 14 and 28 May 1879, 21 and 25 June 1879, and 9 and 23 July 1879. With the exception of that on 21 June 1879 (operatic extracts from Mozart, Cherubini and Beethoven), all of these events combined vocal and instrumental solo and chamber music, the majority being by German concerts. All programmes consist of a single sheet.
