Description A collection of 4 bound volumes containing programmes with words and notes for three series of BBC Chamber Music Concerts, given in the Concert Hall at Broadcasting House during the seasons 1932–33, 1933–34 and 1934–35, and the prospectus and programmes with notes for Six Recitals of English Song, given at the Wigmore Hall, London between 7 May and 11 June 1951.

Each season of the chamber music concerts ran from October to March/April. The Wigmore Hall recitals were given as part of the Festival of Britain.

Collections Overview The BBC's Written Archives constitute the working papers of the organization from 1922 to the 1970s. They show in great detail how the BBC went about the task of making programmes, first for radio and later also for television. They detail the planning, production and content of these programmes, encompassing internal memoranda and minutes of meetings, financial records, correspondence with contributors, programmes records of various types, extensive press cuttings, audience reaction, concert programmes, publicity and publications. These detailed internal records are available for research from the beginning up to 1974.
