Description
Programme and wordbook for a performance of Palestrina, Stabat Mater, given by the Bach Choir on 30 March 1917 at Westminster Abbey. Also, sacred music by various other composers ranging from the sixteenth to twentieth century.
The performance was conducted by Dr Hugh P. Allen with Sir Frederick Bridge (organ).
The programme also includes the words and music for congregational hymns to be sung as part of this performance.
