Description A collection of prospectuses, handbills and programmes relating to performances given by the violinist sisters Adila Fachiri (1886-1962) and Jelly d'Arányi (1893-1966) at various venues in the UK between 1940 and 1957, held loosely across two parcels within the third of six boxes in the Arányi collection (1907-56). Also, programmes for three Concours de Violon/Concours Internatioal Marguerite Long – Jacques Thibaud given at the Salle Gaveau, Paris on 20, 22 and 23 June 1951.

In addition to the two parcels containing concert programmes, this box houses a parcel containing posters and one containing newspaper cuttings and other publications (including editions of The Strad) relating to Adila Fachiri. The last parcel also includes a double-sided handbill prospectus for the National Gallery Concerts given during the week beginning 30 October [no year].

The programmes are divided chronologically, with one parcel each for the 1940s and the 1950s. Those contained in the former relate to concerts featuring Adila Fachiri and those in the later featured Jelly d'Arányi.
