Unique identifier

Description
A miscellaneous collection of handbills, programmes and wordbooks for performances given at a range of London venues and in Bath, Bristol, Dublin and Manchester between 1814 and 1815, including extended runs of programmes for the Concerts of Ancient Music and Bartleman, C. Knyvett and W. Knyvett's Vocal Concerts.
The programmes are bound chronologically as the fifth of seven volumes comprising the collection of Andrew Ashe (1759–1838). They are listed here alphabetically by venue, with the London venues followed by the provincial ones. The programmes for the Concerts of Ancient Music provide no indication of the venue but it is known from other sources that they were held at the New Rooms, Hanover Square.
A number of the programmes include lists of the principal vocal and instrumental performers. Those for Messrs Ashley's Benefit concerts (28 May 1814 and 13 May 1815), for Dr. Callcott's Concert (10 April 1815) and for the majority of the Vocal Concerts include lists of the orchestral ensemble. The programme for the New Musical Fund concert (6 April 1815) and for at least one Vocal Concert of each season include lists of the subscribers.
A number of the programmes carry handwritten annotations/corrections.
