Description A complete set of Festival Brochures for the first 37 years of the Aldeburgh Festival of Music and the Arts, given between 1948 and 1984 in association with the Arts Council of Great Britain and the English Opera Group.

In addition to providing programmes for the Festival (typically with words and notes), these brochures include detailed information on the performers engaged, historical/contextual essays on the Festival and the surrounding area, and lists of the organizing committee.

The material is divided into four boxes as follows: 1948–60; 1961–70; 1971–79; and 1980–85. The last of these boxes also contains a leaflet/prospectus for the 2005 Festival.
