Description This is the collection of programmes for concerts given by the Halle Orchestra and Choir compiled by the Halle Society itself. The collection contains the following programmes:

* 109 bound volumes of Halle programmes for the concert seasons held in Manchester from 1858 to 2001. Many of the seasons have duplicate volumes. There are also some loose programmes for the same concerts.

* 43 bound volumes of Halle programmes for concerts given outside Manchester from 1939 to 1995. There are also boxes of loose programmes for concerts held outside Manchester, the majority of which are the same as in the bound volumes.

* There are also some donated collections of programmes. The Halle programmes within these collections are the same as in the bound volumes, although there are some non-Halle miscellaneous concert programmes.
