Description One volume of programmes for Mr Edward Isaacs' Friday Mid-day Pianoforte Recitals given at Houldsworth Hall, Deansgate, Manchester. There was often a vocalist for the recital as well. The programmes are single sheet with some analytical notes and date from [19th]/1/1917 to 2/3/1923. There is also a loose programme in this volume for a pianoforte recital given by Edward Isaacs at the Memorial Hall, Manchester on 19/12/1923.

Collections Overview The Henry Watson Music Library is named after Dr. Henry Watson, a renowned composer and teacher born in nearby Accrington. After his death in 1911 he bequeathed the contents of his private library to the care of Manchester City Council. Watson's original collection (some 16,700 volumes) has been supplemented by many important donations and acquisition since and has grown into one of the largest collections of music in any public library.
