Description Programmes collected by Nadine Vallendar (1918-1988), the musical director of Splott and District Amateur Operatic Society. The collection is divided into 3 sections. The first includes miscellaneous concert programmes from 1944-1966. Many relate to the Cardiff Civil Defence Operatic Society. The second section consists of Cardiff Schools Festival programmes and other school concert programmes, 1962-68. The last section consists of programmes of productions given by Splott and District Amateur Operatic Society between 1963 and 2004. Items added after Vallendar's death, although collection is now considered closed.

Ensembles include: Cardiff Civil Defence Operatic Society, Cardiff Civil Defence Choir, Welsh National Opera, Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra, Herbert Ware Symphony Orchestra, Penarth Ladies' Choral Society, New London Orchestra, Cardiff Municipal Musical Society, Rupert F Batten Opera Company, Splott and District Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society.

Artists include: Hubert C Williams, Idloes Owen, Tudor Davies, Victor Fleming, Herbert Ware, Moiseiwitsch, Joan Cross, Tom Hopkins, David Lloyd, Marian Nowakowski, Alec Sherman, Edith Williams, Mary Jarred, Bumford Griffiths.
