Description
1 folder containing 7 festival programmes for the Cardiff Festival of Choirs. The festival was co-founded by HTV Wales in 1977. Choirs included Welsh male voice choirs alongside university choirs and other professional bodies including visiting choirs both British and International. The musical content of the festival was, of course, largely choral, but also included many orchestral pieces. 2 of the programmes are final drafts pre-printing with blank spaces for photos. Some loose photos of artists are included.

Collections Overview
The Welsh Music Information Centre, funded by the Arts Council of Wales, was re-established in 2000 under the auspices of Ty Cerdd. The Centre seeks to fulfil its role in promoting all genres of Welsh music through archiving, publishing and performance; development of international links through IAMIC, the consortium of 40 Music Information Centres worldwide; provision of information on Welsh composers and their music, in association with the Welsh Music Guild and Cyfansoddwyr Cymru/Composers of Wales. The centre holds a collection of scores by Welsh composers and misc. music of Welsh interest.
