Access is for reference only. CDs, cassettes and LPs are in a closed-access collection behind the desk and in a reserve collection. They may be used in the listening rooms. CDs are catalogued on the library catalogue; other recorded material can be traced through a catalogue at the counter.
You can use your own laptop computer in the libraries however, due to licensing restrictions, you will not be able to connect to the Internet or the University’s private network. You will be able to use the on-line catalogue in the libraries to find what materials are owned by the libraries.
A ramp is provided at the main entrance and disabled parking is available in the Redwood Building across the road from the Music Library. An accessible toilet is provided on the first floor which can be accessed via a lift. The counter and information desk are low-level but please note the Library is small and in most cases wheelchair users will need to ask staff to assist them to access books and journals
