Description A collection of 12 volumes of programmes from concerts given by the Philharmonic Society, in 1871.

Each volume contains a publication from 1871 concerning the presentation of the Beethoven bust, as well as eight programmes from the 59th season. The concerts took place on Wednesday or Monday evenings from March 8th to July 3rd. The concerts consisted of orchestral music, concerto items and vocal arias, and were conducted by W.G. Cusins.

Arrangement:
Each volume contains the Beethoven pamphlet, followed by the concert programmes, which are arranged chronologically.
