Description
A festival book from the Bayerische Musikfest, Nürnberg, from 1900. The festival took place from 3rd to 5th June, and contained five concerts. The concerts took place in Rathaussaale, Herkulessaale and St. Lorenkirche, and consisted of the following: a chamber music concert; an oratorio concert; a church concert featuring music for choir, organ, singers and solo violin; two mixed orchestral and solo vocal concerts. The chamber concert featured J. Joachim, K. Halir, E. Wirth, R. Hausmann and H. Schwartz on the piano. The other concerts were conducted by either Eduard Ringler, Felix Weingartner or W. Bayerlein, with the three sharing conducting duties for the final concert of the festival.
