Description
A collection of six programmes from concerts given at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden. The programmes are from concerts given in 1820 under the direction of Mr. Bishop; some of the programmes feature the title “Oratorios” at the head of the programme. The programmes include selections from sacred music – chiefly from oratorios including works by Handel, Beethoven and Haydn – but also include programmes from concerts of extracts and selections from Mozart Opera. All the programmes feature a “New Battle Sinfonia” by “Winter”. The programmes include words to all the items performed.
