Description Edinburgh Musical Festival: 6 programmes bound in a volume with other material (1824).

Collection of 6 programmes from the 1824 Edinburgh Musical Festival, conducted by George Smart. Vocal soloists are nearly the same at every performance, with varying combinations of: Madame Ronzi de Begnis, Miss Stephens, Miss Goodall, Miss Travis, Mr Vaughan, Mr Sapio, Mr Bellamy, Mr Phillips, Mr Terrail, Mr Swift, Signor de Begnis, and Mr Braham.

Programmes contain all song texts, and names of patrons, stewards, directors, and instrumental performers. With the programmes is also a statement of ‘Regulations to be observed by the stewards and directors at the ensuing festival’, as well as an ms letter about the festival.

25, 26, 27 (at the Theatre Royal), 28, 29 (at the Theatre Royal), 30/10/1824.
