Nelson Hall Concerts: 1 vol (1901-1914)
Published volume of programmes from the Nelson Hall Concerts of instrumental and vocal chamber music, performed in Edinburgh at the Nelson Halls in Dundee Street, Hamilton Place, McDonald Road, and St. Leonard's Street. Preface to the programmes by R.F. McEwan (advocate), organiser of the series (and pianist and chairman at every concert), describes how the free concerts originated. Programmes contain only the date and venue, performers' names, and works. At the back there are indices of works performed, divided into vocal (by voice type) and instrumental (by instrumentation). The index of singers and players is also organised by voice type and instrument.
