Hallé Concerts Society: 16 vols. (1898-1914)
Collection of programmes from concerts promoted by the Hallé Concerts Society: Manchester (venue not named). Around 20 concerts per season, conducted by Frederic Cowen, Hans Richter, Landon Ronald, Michael Balling, and others. Programmes contain analytical notes with musical examples (and approximate timings in the later programmes), song texts and translations, and names of choral and orchestral members. There is an index of works organised by composer at the back of each volume. Programme notes on composers and individual pieces have also been indexed, organised alphabetically by composer and housed separately from the programmes in the Music Library.
