Programme from a concert promoted by the Edinburgh Choral Union (instituted 1858), with chorus, orchestra and soloists, conducted by Adam Hamilton: Music Hall, Edinburgh (12/11/1877). First concert in a series of 'Eight Grand Choral and Orchestral Concerts'. Programme lists names of orchestral players (but not chorus), and contains all song texts with analytical notes and musical examples.
