King's College
Programmes for over 100 events given at King's College, Cambridge between 1882 and 2009. They comprise a mix of concerts organised by the King's College Musical Society, service sheets for the annual Advent Carol Service and the world-famous Nine Lessons and Carols, organ recitals by the Directors of Music, organ scholars and visiting soloists, programmes for the Easter at King's festival, Music at King's and the Dante Quartet residencies. Concerts are usually held in the Chapel, but the College Hall is also used. The list of performers is illustrious, including Directors of Music such as Boris Ord, David Willcocks, Philip Ledger and Stephen Cleobury; past choral scholars Stephen Varcoe, Michael Chance, Andrew Kennedy, alumni John Eliot Gardiner, Andrew Davis and Robert Tear and visiting artists such as Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich and Sviatoslav Richter.
