McCann Collection: USA (1893-1990)
Description
A collection of three boxes of programmes from the McCann Collection. The collection contains programmes from concerts given outside the United Kingdom and were collected by the concert agent Norman McCann (1920-1999).
The collection contains programmes from a wide variety of venues within the United States. However, there is a significant amount of programmes from concerts given in New York City, especially Carnegie Hall and various venues within the Lincoln Centre. The majority of programmes in the collection date from concerts given in the 1970s and 1980s. The collection also contains a significant amount of programmes from recitals given by Richard Tauber, in a wide array of venues across the United States.
