Description
Programmes, with words, for concerts given on 17 May 1899 and 28 March 1900 as the third concert of the 27th and 28th seasons of the Royal Amateur Orchestral Society. The first concert took place at the Royal Albert Hall and the second at the Queen’s Hall, Langham Place.

Both concerts were conducted by Ernest Ford and accompanied by C. D. Imhof, and were two-part performances of vocal and instrumental solos with orchestral works at the beginning and end of each act. Both programmes provide a list of the Society’s patrons, committee, and members, as well as a full list of the orchestral performers. Programmes also include historical and analytical notes by I. A. Orellana

17 May 1899: featuring Madame Ella Russell and Mr Andrew Black (vocal), and Monsieur Rivarde (violin).

28 March 1900: featuring Miss Florence Shee and Mr Montague Borwell (vocal) and Miss Alice Liebman (violin).
