Description
A miscellaneous collection of programmes for the Oxford Subscription Concerts, seasons 51 to 56, given at the Town Hall and Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford between 1970 and 1976, held loosely as the second parcel within a single box.
Also held are prospectuses for seasons 52, 53 and 55, a handbill for a Pablo Casals memorial concert given at the Town Hall, Oxford on 25 November 1973, and miscellaneous handwritten and printed documents relating to the Subscription Concerts, including correspondence and financial records.
All programmes include historical, descriptive and biographical notes. Certain of the programmes provide a list of the orchestral ensemble and those for the first and last concerts of the 55th season carry the signatures of one of the performers.
