Description
Programme and wordbook for a Tennyson Recital, given by Misses Dora and Edith Tulloch in February 1892 at the Princes’ Hall, Piccadilly. This was a two-part concert of vocal settings of texts by Alfred Lord Tennyson (Poet Laureate).
The programme includes a range of material relating to Tennyson, including extracts of text with accompanying illustrations. Also, an article by Dora Tulloch entitled ‘Tennysonia, or Gleanings from my Library: A Biography in Miniature’ (with observations on Tennyson from a range of other authors/writers) and historical notes on the texts/works being performed.
