This was a two-part concert of vocal and instrumental music by Warlock, including the first performances of the songs ‘Bethlehem Down’ and ‘The Fox’. It was given by the following performers:

The International String Quartet (André Mangeot, Walter Price, Eric Bray and Jack Shinebourne), with Edward Walker (flute) and Terence MacDonagh (cor anglais).
The programme also provides a full list of the Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Constant Lambert with Arnold Bax, ‘at the piano’.
