Description

A miscellaneous collection of 36 programme books for performances given at the Symphony Hall, Birmingham between February 1999 and May 2001, being the third of six boxes forming the collection of Leslie Postlethwaite.

Each book includes programme notes, biographical notes (with photographs) and a list of the orchestral ensemble. Where appropriate, the texts of the vocal/choral pieces and a list of the choral ensemble, also appear.

Certain documents carry some minor handwritten annotations, largely relating to the performance of encores and including some signatures.

In cases where more than one date is given for a particular performance, all material is contained within a single document.
