Description A miscellaneous collection of handbills and programmes for recital and chamber concerts given at the Meister-Saal, Köthenerstr. 38, Berlin between 1916 and 1938, held loosely and arranged chronologically across boxes 9 to 25 of the Ernst Henschel collection (1892-1966).

In addition to the miscellaneous concerts listed below, the collection includes programme for Kammermusikabend given by the Internationale Gesellschaft für Neue Musik on 27 February 1928, 23 February and 24 April 1929, 10 December 1929 and 9 May 1930 (boxes 17-19).

There are also programmes for recitals of music by Johann Seb. Bach given by Claudio Arrau (piano) on 26 September, 20 October and 15 December 1922 [and 11 January 1923] (Das wohltemperierte Klavier von Johann Sebastian Bach, single document, multiple copies, box 12/i) and 9 and 23 October, 12 and 20 November and 11 December 1935, 15 and 29 January, 11 and 25 March, 22 April and 8 September 1936 and 3 March 1937 (Das Gesamte Klavierwerke von Johann Seb. Bach nos. 1-12, box 23, box 24/i and box 24/ii). Annotations to the programmes for 1936 suggest that the performances actually took place on 15 and 29 January, 18 March, 22 April, 30 September and 9 December. Programmes are filed under these dates.
