The collection includes extended sequences of programmes for the 5th series of the BBC Organ Recitals (1938–39) and for the Grand Concerts for members of H. M. Forces and their Sweethearts and Wives (1943-45). The remaining programmes relate to various performances given at a range of London venues and in Bedford and Bristol between 1931 and 1959, the majority featuring the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to the programmes (see below), this folder also contains prospectuses for the BBC Symphony Concerts of 1931–32 and 1953–54, typed biographical information regarding the BBC Symphony Orchestra Continental Tour of 1947 and various materials, including an extended selection of press cuttings, from the USA Tour undertaken by the same ensemble in April-May 1965.
