Description
A box of miscellaneous material relating to the Arcadian Singers of Oxford University (est. 1975), including programmes with words and notes for performances given at various Oxford venues – principally college chapels – between 1986 and 1997. Also held in this box are handbills and posters, examples of handwritten and printed correspondence, and membership lists for the ensemble.
The programmes contain words and notes and include biographical information, with lists of the choral and, where appropriate, orchestral ensembles.
The concerts were conducted by Martin Fitzpatrick (2 March 1988), Simon Whalley (7 March 1989), Steven Maxson (9 June 1989-20 February 1990), Judy Martin (14 June 1990-1 March 1991), Mark Hindley (23 May 1991-11 June 1992), Stefan Reid (November 1992-May 1993), Paul Kildea (4 March 1994-9 June 1995) and Chris Watson (17 November 1995-14 June 1997).
