Henry Wood Collection: London Musical Festival (1901)
Description
A collection of one volume of programmes from the London Musical Festival, 1901. There are six programmes in the collection. The concerts featured the Queen's Hall Orchestra, and concerts consisted of orchestral music, concerti and a few arias. The conductors of the concerts varied, and included Colonne, Ysaÿe, Saint-Saëns (conducting his own works), Weingartner and Henry Wood. The programmes have been bound without their front covers and do not include information concerning the dates of concerts. The programmes contain analytical programme notes written by Edgar F. Jacques.
