Description

A collection of one volume from BBC Concerts, from 1927 to 1928. The collection consists of a volume of typed leaves, each leaf detailing the venue, date and repertoire of one concert. The programmes have pencilled annotations giving the timings of works. The volume extends from 30th September 1927 to 20th April 1928, and is arranged chronologically. It is presumed that the concerts were conducted by Henry Wood. The venues represented in the collection are as follows: Ulster Hall, Belfast; Queen’s Hall; City Hall, Cardiff; Free Trade Hall, Manchester; Winter Hall, Royal Leamington Spa; People’s Palace; BBC Studio, Manchester; City Hall, Glasgow; BBC Studio, Birmingham; Colston Hall, Bristol.
